I agree with Cressida. I think you are a born writer. I am a book editor and have (until recently) worked for a mainstream trade publishing group. You don’t need to write ‘literary fiction’ to be a writer. You are very observant and very funny. I adored Notting Hell. Entertaining, accessible writing is a real skill. You have it. Don’t knock it.
PS: I love memoirs too. Basically because I’m very nosy and love reading about people’s lives.
I do like Keith NcNally, but as he is one of Beyond Bloomsbury’s early Instagram followers, I am probably biased. Fingers crossed for the Memoir category…
